The insight on the assessments and diploma recognition of IB schools in India is thoroughly explained below.

In IB Schools, How is the Final Assessment Done?

The IB Research Unit, now based in Cardiff, UK, conducts examinations at the end of the IB DP programme, with all IB schools throughout the world taking part in one of two assessment cycles: May or November. For different courses, each school is allocated approved IB Examiners from throughout the world. The Cardiff Office moderates the grading process, which is based on criterion reference.

The assessment is based on the student’s actual learning, comprehension, and interpretation of a topic, not only on their capacity to recollect information. The final IB grade is based on a blend of the student’s project work and performance across the two years of the DP programme and the final examination. This is done in two parts.
